CAMNet Rendezvous 2014

The Collaborative Adaptive Management Network (CAMNet), along with local host the Trinity River Restoration Program (TRRP), and sponsors U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, ESSA Technologies and the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program, are pleased to host the Sixth Collaborative Adaptive Management Rendezvous in Weaverville, California on October 6-8, 2014.

The Rendezvous

The CAMNet Rendezvous brings together innovative natural resource managers, scientists, policy makers, and citizens to share successes and challenges from programs and projects that are conducting collaborative adaptive management on the ground in order to advance the practice of CAM. Students who are incorporating adaptive management in their educational experience and/or research are encouraged to participate.

This year’s meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6 and adjourns at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Topics and activities include:

  • Overview of river restoration efforts in Northern California / Southern Oregon;
  • In depth learning from the experience of the Trinity River Restoration Program through a presentation and raft trip on the river;
  • An introductions to Collaborative Adaptive Management and Structured Decision Making;
  • Reception and displays from CAM programs across the region and beyond;
  • Panel discussion and break-out sessions focused on strategies to make adaptive management more successful; and
  • A half day workshop on river restoration performance metrics.
